Rev. Debrah Daya Friedland-vanZyl
Debrah is Co-founder and Co-director of All Paths Divinity School. She is actively involved in many interfaith and peace organizations and is also Co-Chair of the Southern CA Committee for a Parliament of the World’s Religions. She has produced events internationally and was Co-Producer and event manager of the 2013 Seeds of Peace event at All Saints Church, Pasadena with Marianne Williamson as keynote speaker.
In 2012 she was an assistant Producer of the LA 2012 Peace Sunday/ Peace Fest for Unity and Diversity World Council with James O’Dea and Riane Eisler as Keynote speakers. Most recently (August 2018) she was the event manager and host for the SCCPWR conference “Sharing Our Stories – Celebrating Harmony in a Broken World” with keynote speakers Prof. Brian Swimme and Activist filmmaker Kathy Eldon.
Debrah is a graduate of Dartington College, Devon, the UK, specializing in teacher training in art, dance and drama. Debrah and her husband, Andre, are also owners and directors of Awareness NOW Projects, an initiative that promotes the arts as a conduit to create and support sacred community. Debrah has created, produced and facilitated many Arts and Spirit Workshops and retreats over the years with her husband, Andre. Born in South Africa, Debrah has two wonderful and creative adult children, Jarryd and Sarina and is married to Andre.
